Introduction
Thank you for visiting my site. My name is James Cannon, and I am running for a seat on the Mt. Lebanon School Board. Over the last few years, an unfortunate transformation has occurred. Our school board, tasked with making decisions in the best interests of the community, has collectively chosen to ignore the will of the community. There needs to be a voice for our residents, and I AM THAT VOICE!
During the primary election, we sent a clear message to the current Board that Mt. Lebanon taxpayers want more and expect more than is currently being delivered.
As a Board member, I will deliver accountability and fiscal responsibility, while performing my duties with integrity. I will:
- elevate academics to the number one priority no matter what, and look for measurable results
- demand transparency while conducting any and all Board business
- spend your tax dollars responsibly
- explore overdue legislative tax reform with the goal of establishing ONE taxing body
